How services differ from each other?
1. The recipient: is it an object or person receiving the treatment of the service?
2. Degree of tangibility: Haircut vs Education. Easier to see service output with haircut than education.
3. Discrete or Continuous: Is the service once off or does it continue over a period of time.
e.g. ....
4. Standardized or Customized: Example; McDonald's vs Massage. Much more degree of customization when getting a massage (i.e which part? How sensitive is the person etc.)
5. Place of Service Delivery: you visit the customer (lawn care) or the customer visits you (hotel).
6. Contact: High vs Low.
7. Relationship: membership (gym) vs transactional (banking).
